Hi,
I am running xfce on CentOS 6.2 and I use thunar file manager.
I am baffled by following problem which I thought is was only a
problem in nautilus not in thunar.
I copied a tiff image file to desktop and right click the mouse button
to run "Open With Other Application". I selected an image application
which installed in menu. It popped up an error message of "Failed to
change directory $HOME (No such file or directory)". There is
"path=$HOME" and "Terminal=1" in the application desktop file. The
same error I have seen in nautilus when I run application desktop
launcher, but usually no problem in thunar.
Could anyone give me some insight what was going on? Was it because
the launcherpad was provided by nautilus which always be trouble to
load environmental variables? I don't even know where is the
launcherpad and which problem was invoked when I clicked a desktop
image.
Thank you and appreciate.
Cheers.
